My goal is to be here one year from now 50 pounds down. There is a lot going on in my life with my moms health, end of the year work volume and home repairs due to water damage. It felt good to feel some control in my day by tracking everything on the app. I almost didn’t go for walk and I almost hit the grocery store for food that does not serve my goals. Instead I walked, tracked and planned. I look forward to posting daily to and tracking to keep myself accountable. Have a happy night !

One pound at a time - and more importantly one good habit at a time. It can be tough when there are so many out-of-control things going on around you. It's so easy to retreat to food for comfort, right? And now - holidays! Ugh!

If you're just starting, I'd suggest adding one good habit to your life and letting it sink in. For example - tracking EVERY morsel - even on the days when you've had a super-stressful day and down a whole package of cookies or someone shows up at your door with a can't-resist piping hot pizza. Log the calories; and then move on.

Next, maybe decide to stop eating after 7 or 8PM. Or concentrate on cutting back on processed foods or sugar. In other words, don't worry about starting and sticking to a perfect diet plan all at once. It may take a month to settle into a plan that works for you.

I've now lost 63 lbs. since May - I started with simply logging all my food, not eating after 6PM and a meager 5 minutes of low impact exercise each day. There were several Major Calorie days now and then - including Halloween candy chocolate binges - but I always logged every bite and got right back to it after a day... or two. ;)

    You can do this!
