Logging homemade meals

So I have been starting to make my own homemade meals. However it starts to be tedious to put every ingredient that was included in the meal. Any tips for putting homemade meals?

Three ways:
1.) go to My Recipes and create the recipe. Next time you make the same meal, choose from the “recipes” tab at the top. You can always edit the recipe before you do.
2.) if it’s something you ate recently, either choose the date or flip back and find it. Then select “copy from date” to copy it to that days meal plan.
3.) if it’s something you eat often, select the most unusual item from the meal, and MFP will suggest other foods that you often eat with that particular one. then you can add the other items that go with it by choosing the radio buttons underneath.2 -
If you have the same (or similar) meals regularly, you can save them and then reuse them and adapt when necessary (for example slightly different quantities of the ingredients).

I'm probably not that helpful, as I tend to just log all the ingredients, but if there are things you cook over and over with little change, you can create a recipe. Another option is to save the list of ingredients as a meal and then you can log that an easily change the amounts or add/delete ingredients.
I find that once most of the ingredients I tend to use are in my frequent foods, that even logging a long list is easy, and remembering amounts (while chopping, for example) can be a good exercise of my memory too.3 -
For example, if I select the brand of bread I usually eat, I get these options, which are generally what I eat with it for lunch. Makes it easier to finish up the entry:

I've been logging food for precisely 500 days today, and I've never used this option. Never too old to learn
