Getting back my mojo

Starting running about five years ago--this year "fell of the wagon" in Sept and stop training. My goal is to run the Syracuse 1/2 marathon next year. It will take a lot of work but I'm up to it!

Welcome to MFP! I did a half marathon once, and learned I never, ever want to do that again. 😆

Welcome! When is the race? I fell off the wagon with my running much of this year too (started back up a bit more than a month ago), so we are in the same boat. I'm hoping to do the Chicago Spring Half in May, if they are having live races by then.

You can do it! Just keep on training. My motto is "you don't have to go fast you just have to go."

Sorry but I don't know how to reply individually so here goes: --I agree. I run with a running group of "younger" people. We have agreed to challenge ourselves. We are doing a Mt. Goat, 15K, the 1/2 marathon. After that we "retire" to multiple 5k's per year. The 1/2 marathon is in Syracuse, NY in November. Yes I agree we don't go fast. We joke we are in the back because the fast runners keep dropping their cell phones ands other things so we are there to help!
