Plate Lickers

Was wondering, are there any plate lickers out there? LOL Sometimes those little dabs left on the plate are the tastiest , aren't they? :)

I really have no idea what possessed me to click on this....I just couldn't help myself.

In answer to your question, I do not recall ever licking my plate; however, I will not judge.

I know what you talking about! I even have went so far that I ate my plates, not only lick them. I'm afraid now to even put a food on a plate in first place cos I'm starting to go short on dishes. I'm now just eating food stright from the oven, just put my head in and do it!

of course I do this. When eating something epic and need to enjoy ever little bit of it.

Example, brownie with ice cream . You finish eating it but there is still some melted ice cream on the plate and some of the chocolate that was over the top. Spoon is not doing the job.

I don't lick the plate...I run my finger all over the plate and lick my finger. I embody the "finger lickin good" motto.

    God, that looks nasty! LOL

That is what bread is for, to sop up anything left on the plate.

In some countries a loud belch or churned up burp is one heck of a compliment to the cook! LOL

Me at any steak place with my wife. About the end of the meal she has soaked up all the juice with bread and yet about a quarter of the steak left, and my plate has all the juices of the steak but no meat left. At that point we trade plates and she sops up the juices with more bread and I enjoy a few more ounces of steak. I also learned most french, italian, german, and polish sauces by the age of 14 so now older as the cook for my family I encourage licking of the plates, but for the modest proper eaters I usually have some sort of edible spoon be it bread, or rice for the sauce table side.
