I don’t want to develop an Ed, but I think I did, I kinda want to enjoy food and my body but my mood depends on how much the scale tells me I weight

That’s a little high, but If you just started most of that is water weight.

If the scale is causing you to avoid foods, lay off the scale for awhile and use measurements, clothing fit, etc to judge weight loss.

You can eat whatever you want and lose weight as long as you do so in a deficit. Weigh and track your foods and eat at your calorie goal in MFP and you will be successful.

    Welcome!

How many calories per day are you averaging? If you’ve dropped carbs and sodium significantly, a large portion of your weight loss could be water weight. Which is totally fine, your weight loss will slow down. If you are significantly undereating, that’s a different issue.

Make sure you’re getting at least 1500 calories total per day, which includes eating back enough exercise calories to equal 1500 calories net.

    Hi, Viktor.

    It depends.

If you are starting from a very high BMI, say 100-150 pounds or more overweight, it’s very possible to appear to lose weight very quickly.

You may have had a flush of water weight. This often happens at the beginning of a new diet, especially when people enter a little too enthusiastically.

Two weeks is a little fast to get a feel for weight loss. You may very well find that you don’t show any additional weight loss or the next two or three weeks. That’s normal.

It’s almost like your body is feeling it’s way through the changes for the first few weeks and does some unpredictable things. But a lot of people will get frustrated with a large initial weight loss followed by none at all, and will give up and quit. Don’t do that. Give your new plan to me to work and then play with your calories and come up with an acceptable rate of loss and the calories to get there.

I think you’re very wise to be sensitive to an ED, but if you weren’t already prone to one before, I doubt you could develope one in two weeks!

Have you used MFP to calculate your calories and a speed of loss you can be comfortable with?

Don’t forget to invest in a nice counter scale to weigh your food! That’s the #1 most helpful and effective thing you can do.

And remember, it’s not a race to lose weight. If you want more calories to play with so you can continue to enjoy your food, set MFPs
Goal calculator on a pound or half pound of weight loss a week, or do exercise to gain back additional nomnoms.
