Zero Pounds lost but face looks thinner!?

I started and joined this week, on Monday. This morning, my mom told me that my face looks much thinner. I am not sure if she's just saying it because she knows I am dieting and just wants to motivate me. It could be that my hair is wavy and not as curly as it usually is. There's also a possibility that I have lost weight, maybe a pound... said hopefully. But I think it's less sodium that is making my face look less puffy. What was weird was that she said since my face is not as fat, my eyes look bigger.
I am tempted to hop on the scale to see if I lost weight but it might be too early for that. Has anyone else experienced no weight change, but face looks thinner?
