I've already lost 88 lbs (but gained 8lbs now from holidays). My start weight 162 lbs. Current weight 180 lbs.
I'm so frustrated with myself for stopping. Part is because my job became full-time but mostly it's because im really good at making excuses on why I should skip a day.
Thing is i know how amazing i feel after I work out so i dont know why i dont. I eat fairly good (except for the holidays) its just the workout part i have an issue with. Why do I make excuses when I know I enjoy it so much?
I feel like i lose interest when i dont have maybe its a goal? A challenge? I do well with a trainer but gyms are closed and i cant always afford a trainer. No friends of mine care to want to work out to have that buddy system. I need that person to keep me accountable maybe? Any suggestions on something that may help?
Thank you and hope everyone had wonderful holidays!!

Welcome back!
Exercise is awesome for fitness. And it feels good! For weight loss, though, you've got to focus on how much you eat. So it sounds like you have two goals: Lose the extra weight you put back on (very VERY common for some to come back), and get back on an exercise program.
Unfortunately, you've got to be the reason you exercise. You just have to do it. If you think it would help to challenge yourself along with others, there's LOTS of options over in the challenge forums. They can be lots of fun! But ultimately you're just accountable to yourself. Think of it like brushing your teeth or washing clothes; it's just something you do. But it feels much better than doing laundry!1 -
I k own it’s hard. Covid, TV news, politics, missing family. It just seems to sap all my get up and go, too.
Walking and running have been a boon. I can get out, enjoy some sunshine, and I’ve reached the point I’d rather listen to a podcast than turn on the TV.
I look forward to podcasts. Others report similar with audiobooks.
Have you considered making it an audio “treat” rather than a workout?2
