Hello. I’m 62, female, at least 50 pounds overweight, working from home, and cooking almost all meals for myself, my husband and adult daughter. I have a bum foot and ankle. I had ankle surgery (the most recent) in July 2019, my mother died in November 2019, one of my daughters moved to the UK in December 2019, and my brother died in April 2020 at age 65 (cancer). I was already overweight, and I’ve gained 15 pounds in the last year. My goals are to lose weight to look better, feel better, and be able to do more, including traveling. I currently am unable to walk or stand without considerable pain.

Welcome to MFP 👋🏿 Your past year sounds like it was chock-full of transitions and challenges.
Your goals are great ones! So how do you plan to get after them while reducing pain?0 -
My condolences about your brother. 💐
The nice thing is - weight loss comes from a calorie deficit. You don’t have to exercise to lose weight. Start tracking your food and making small tweaks that help you reach your goal.0
