So it's just me and the wife at home both mid thirties.
I read a lot about getting enough sleep and I need that. But I often sleep in the spare room as she heads to bed late.
We both work from home and hours are not matched mine is 8 to 5 while she works 9 till half 5 or later.
So....
I want to fit in running but its hard to get up earlier and I am always the one making dinner so end up too tired to run.

Hi there Steve! Have you a slow cooker or dutch pot?
These can allow you to get something started in the morning (or during your lunch break) and have it ready by the time you're done with work. That way, at 5 you can go for your run and be done by the time your DW is signing off.
Have you considered asking your work to flex your time so that you're both starting at 9 and more liable to finish at the same time?1
