My Hubby Is Happy!

My husband and I are starting HOH (Optavia - Habits of Health) today. Anything that will entice him to start taking an active role in his health is a GREAT PLAN. For me. You cannot control another persons choices but you can support those that will bring positive results. Even if he has trouble transitioning once he looses the weight I believe his coach will be there to help. I am realling looking forward to this life change for the both of us. This will be my first meal plan diet. I have watched calories and excercised in the past. Got lazy with my hubbies habits and now I need to retrain myself. So it will be a challenge for me too!
Hope there are some friendlys out there doing HOH. We need all the support we can get!

Its a pyramid scheme. Be very careful. Those "coaches" are just people who make money by destroying lives so do your best to not rely on them or get sucked in as coaches yourselves. If you can follow up with a doctor every now and then I'd recommend it since there have been cases of Optavia making people really sick.16

I wish you luck.
If you want friends who eat real, normal food, and still stay within their calorie goals the majority of the time, feel free to send a request.9 -
The beauty of MFP is you can eat anything you want. YOU are in control
But you have to put the effort in to learn the app and commit to calories in/calories out.

The pyramid is no big deal. This was my husbands choice through a friend of his. Anything to get him motivated is good with me. As for consulting a doctor, we both see doctors on a regular basis including full blood workups & liver checks. We have had nothing but positive results so far.3

Pyramid schemes actually are a "big deal." They ruin people's lives by dangling false promises of amazing financial opportunies in front of them, while funneling money to the few people at the top. On top of that, the products themselves are often of inferior quality or even unsafe. If you've never had anyone in your life taken advantage of by these fraudulent schemes, then you're fortunate. But please don't take that as a sign that it's somehow okay -- it's been harmful to many people and they tend to target people who are already struggling financially and can least afford to spend their available money on empty promises, which makes the whole thing even more repugnant.14 -
I didn’t know much about it, so I googled. https://health.usnews.com/best-diet/optavia-diet/reviews
MFP is ranked much higher.4 -
Susay do what works for you and hubby. Pyramid schemes only work if you fall for them and it sounds like you will do fine. Good luck to you both.2

Ask the "coach" what sort of training they have in anything regarding nutrition and listen for the crickets.9
