76 and Still Trying

Well I'm 76 years old and have been gaining weight for the past 6 years at an alarming rate. I was 190lbs in 2014 and am now 258. I just keep going up and up. I would start a diet and than after a few months its like I was never on it. Now I need to stop for good. Get into a good Fitness program like MYFITNESS and change my lifestyle completely. With that said I know I can't do it alone so I am looking for an accountability buddy. Gender doesn't matter in fact nothing matters except we have the same goal.

Welcome! My goals aren’t the same, but I can still cheer you on.

Welcome! I’m still trying too! Love that MFP helps make it easier. The first step is the hardest, and it’s done.

I'm not very good at the accountability/friend thing on MFP, unfortunately (more of a Community forum kind of a gal), but as someone near your age (I'm 65), may I suggest chiming in on this thread (link below), if you haven't already done so? Lots of friendly people there, many new and looking for people to buddy up with to work on goals.

Wishing you great success with MFP!
