New to the forums

Hi everybody! I've been using the MFP app on my phone for about 3 months, but this is my first time venturing into the forums. I'm a 37 year old Marine Corps veteran (10 years on active duty) and current middle school English and history teacher. I am trying to lose all the weight I gained after exiting active duty and spending 4 years in college! I love reading about nutrition and have recently discovered that the more I know about food, the less I tend to abuse my body with it. Here's to a new lifestyle change instead of all of the diets I've tried (and failed at) in the past. I've always been an overeater, but have never had problems with my weight until the last 8 years. I've lost 24 pounds since keeping track with MFP and wish I had done it sooner! I've also become obsessed with clean eating ever since I learned what it was. Anyone else?
