Vr for weight loss

Does anyone play vr(virtual reality) games to loose weight? If so are they as good as doing other things?

Anything that gets your heart rate up is great, and may even give you some extra calories to eat at the end of the day. However, eating in a calorie deficit is all that is needed to lose weight.

I haven't done VR but can't imagine it's too different to those who might have used things like Wii Fit/Sports in the past.

As mentioned above though, exercise isn't necessary for weight loss, it can mostly be achieved through adjusting your food intake. Exercise should be more for fitness/health than weight loss.

I do VR. I have three different games I play when I need a quick burn and can't get it anywhere else. Its as effective as treadmills or whatever, in that it gets your heart rate up and your body moving. Only better because its not soul crushingly boring. ;)

Much like any other cardio its not good for weight loss without diet adjustments.

I do. I do Supernatural, and FitXR primarily.

I mostly play a non VR game for exercise (Just dance) however I am a fan of Beatsaber which really gets my heart rate up. I've tried a few other games and haven't quite got into anything but it's definitely better than sitting and using a controller.
