This is absolutely going to be the biggest factor in recovery, probably by an order of magnitude over what you'll receive from any supplement.

Here's an excerpt related to the topic, although focused more on performance than recovery, from a podcast by some guys that are well regarded by most in the community:

I would recommend whatever supplements you are taking, or are considering taking, you look them up on http://www.examine.com to see what the prevailing scientific research has to say about them, including the dosage used.

If you are gonna run a pre-workout, then don't get one with proprietary blends. You'd be better off looking at Kaged Muscle, Legion Athletics, Cutler Nutrition, or Outworked. These are all adequately dosed.

Also, unless you are consuming 5g of creatine a day, its not going to make a difference. It's a muscle saturator, so it needs to be consumed daily.

And the post workout likely isn't doing anything except maybe placebo.

And this is all predicated on having your diet in check.

I think the bigger question, why are you in need of additional recovery agents? How is your diet? How much protein are you consuming?
