I had a bout of Tachycardia (due to severe stress and anxiety) and having been on Propranolol 10mg daily for about a year, my doctor put me on Inderal (Propranolol Hydrochloride) Prolonged Release 80mg because of the Tachycardia. He said a lot of young women my age (33) tend to get that, like athletes etc.

I havea severe anxiety disorder, which is why I'm on it as well at the moment, but I do want to come off it eventually, just at the moment with everything going on, it is helping with a lot of stuff.

I also have PCOS so I'm really struggling to move this last 20-30lbs. I also have Hypothyroidism (ON meds for that).
I want to get rid of to get to my healthy and happy weight, to feel better about myself, which I haven't for many years but I think its about time I did.

Anyway, I'm wanting to do a bit of exercise but not sure whatI can do, or will be safe while on this medication? I don't like super intensive exercise, and my country is in its highest tier lockdown, and are not allowed out unless for essential shopping. So, I'm a little stuck and will have to make do inside the house. I have no exercise equipment.

I do like yoga, other than that, I can only manage watching my calorie intake, but I'm not doing terribly well, not awful, I'm not overeating justpicking, or eating the wrong foods out of boredom and sitting at my desk working all day. Other than that, I don't know what else I can do to shift this weight and tone up.

Any suggestions?

Try Leslie Sansome walk at home videos. You can vary the intensity of what you do.

I'm on a beta blocker for hypertension...my Dr. told me there wasn't anything in particular off limits exercise wise, only that overall performance would be diminished somewhat. You should probably inquire of your Dr. as to any limitations exercise wise while on the medication.

I primarily cycle...currently mostly indoors on my indoor bike trainer due to it being winter...so I'm not of much help when it comes to exercise options. I'm not into YouTube workouts and such.

When I was on a beta blocker for migraines it had no impact on my exercise until I reached extreme levels when it would put a cap on my heartrate.
e.g. I was a fairly serious squash player and during a really long and hard rally my HR would refuse to climb high enough to meet my peak oxygen need which was both limiting and unpleasant.

For normal exercise it wasn't a problem.

Bodyweight exercises and non-intense cardio I wouldn't have thought would be a problem but consult your Doctor if you need reassurance.
