Target lifts for 2021?

I’ve set myself a challenge to beat my pbs on squat, deadlift and bench. I’m turning 40 this year and want to be in my best shape and breaking my own records.

Bench - PB 150kg - @130 - 🎯160
Deadlift - PB 210kg - @195 - 🎯 220
Squat - PB 170kg - @145 - 🎯 180

What are your goals for 2021? Do you think mine are achievable bearing in mind I haven’t managed them in my 30’s

My goals are to increase pbs on pushups, squat and pullups!
My goals for 2021 is to meet my calorie and protein goals to gain more muscle and weight!
I think those goals are achievable if you keep holding yourself accountable in the gym :)

Anything is achievable, within your time frame of a year? Very nuanced and depends on how you respond to the programming and a few other things. Your age really has nothing to do with it.

Me? I haven't given much thought honestly. Just throwing out some numbers though these would be reasonable for a competition and not in gym PR where I would be 52 years old if I hit these.

    Squat: 250kg
    Bench: 170kg
    Deadlift: 295kg

    Looking to get

    500Lb Deadlift current pr 475
    450Lb Squat current pr 425
    315Lb Bench current pr 255

All while hopefully being able to cut from 235# bw down to 215 or so by the summer.

Bench would be a big jump, coming back from a shoulder injury a few years ago, have not been benching hard for the last year but I'm looking to focus on bench a bit more this year and get there.

Here's my 2020 bests with goals for 2021 (in kg):

    Bench - 98 to 🎯113
    Deadlift - 170 to 🎯 181
    Squat - 134 to 🎯 159

I see the benefit of tracking in kilograms- it makes you feel like a weakling. Now I'm mad to get into the gym and throw more weight on the bar. :D

My life is a mixture of imperial and metric 😂. I lift weights in kg, I weigh myself in pounds, drive my car in miles, measure height in inches yet distance in metres.

I'd like to get my DL up over 400 and Bench to 300 and I plan to be a little leaner than I was last May (174 lbs). I've also been focusing on hypertrophy and aesthetics for most of the last ~year
