I was diagnosed with pcos last year and told to do the same. I did a lot of research and found a system that worked for me. Because of Pcos I was becoming insulin resistant, which is a common thing with pcos and leads to diabetes. I DID NOT want to deal with insulin/being diabetic so I went full bore on everything I found to improve pcos. Avoiding soy as it messes with hormones, cutting out processed sugars completely, moderating sugars in food. I kept all types of sugar (including sugar in fruit) between 20-40g/day or less. This was a lot of hard work, but, it helped to balance my hormones and make me feel soooooo much better! 2 months in, I was no longer insulin resistant, all of my hormones were within normal limit! And 2 years in I have lost and kept off 50 pounds! It's hard work but worth it, hormones play into everything!0
