I like it, day-sleeping NINJA! I have no problem sleeping during daylight hours either. I can switch back to sleeping nights on my days off too so that I can spend time with the family.....and housework

You're so lucky! While I have never had a problem sleeping during the day I have a lot of trouble sleeping through the night on my days off. I end up awake at like 3am and not falling back asleep until 7 or 8 and then if I'm not out and about I end up falling asleep in the afternoon.

The first night back to sleeping at night is an adjustment for me and I try (but am not always successful) to get up after 5 or 6 hours of sleep instead of 8. I will sleep from 8am to 4pm typically, and then I can go back to bed at 2am, usually. If I stay up much later than that, I am at risk of being up alllll night.

It took me a couple of months to figure out how to manipulate my body to make it work (I've been doing this since March). Because the office is so quiet typically, some of us catch a few zz's on the shift, but I don't bother because I don't want to mess up my day sleeping.

I do this too. It's a bit of an adjustment but I've been doing this for 3.5 years and I feel like it works out well working three 12 hour overnights shifts. My youngest goes to daycare while I sleep and my oldest is in school. I can still be awake and around for dinner and for football and dance. I don't mind sleeping during the day at all.
