Hello Everyone! I am 5’1” and weigh 170 pounds 😢 Recently I decided to attack the Battle of the Bulge but unfortunately I broke my leg last week and am unable to begin a full exercise regime. I am doing intermittent fasting and counting calories but I thought about adding some sort of OTC weight suppressant aid such as Slim Fast but NO pills. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations? Thank you!

I recommend you don't waste your money. If you are already counting calories, then you are already creating a deficit if you're logging accurately and consistently. Creating a calorie deficit is the ONLY way weight loss happens. Exercise is not necessary for weight loss. You should probably however ensure your settings are correct in case your activity level is lower than previously set to, as imagine you're not walking about much on a broken leg.
I should add though that it's probably best not to try to actively pursue weight loss when you're recovering from an injury, your body needs energy to heal.6 -
I second @tinkerbellang83. SlimFast and the like are a waste of money, you will see results if you just accurately log your food and stay under budget, and you should probably consider eating at maintenance while your leg is healing.2

I've used Slim Fast in the past. I don't recommend it. I was hungry often.
If drinking your calories is satiating to you, you can do much better making your own smoothies with protein powder. I like chewing, so shakes were a bad choice for me.
Another downfall to Slim Fast is I learned nothing about my eating habits. Maintaining the weight you lost takes work too.6
