Today I rest

I had posted earlier about being frustrated with not losing weight due to water retention. how small those problems seem now. After posting that I learned that a dear friend has passed from COVID-19. he was 35 with no underlying health conditions.

So, today I rest and remember how lucky I am to have a body that is fully functioning. I’ve almost completed Dry January, but will raise a drink in his honor. I can easily add a day in February.

Please take this virus and your health seriously. This life isn’t dress rehearsal.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This virus is so unpredictable and individual. It is important to remember what our bodies can do for us on a good day. You're wise to think inward and thank outward. May your friend rest in peace. Hugs to you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend - and so young. Perspective does come hard, sometimes, doesn't it? Thank you for reminding me to keep my own minor frustrations and irritations in the proper frame.
