I am an indoor spinner at the moment.
January 20201 = 402 KM
February (so far) = 12 KM
I haven't had a good first week of February as been ill so was managing about 5 /10 minutes rather than a full workout.1 -

Four short rides this week dodging the weather (or attempting to dodge it!) for 91 miles total.
One ride with "10% chance of rain" resulted in getting rained on three times (mistake leaving my rain jacket at home) and two punctures. In poor light and with frozen hands didn't spot a tiny but sharp flint stuck in the tyre when replacing the tube. A few miles further on the flint caused a second puncture so I called for a pickup as hands never recovered any feeling and it had started to rain again. Not my most fun ride ever!3 -
I seem to have spent the weekend on Zwift. 2 hours including a race on Friday night. 3 hour club ride yesterday. 4 hour gran Fondo today.
Tomorrow is a rest day thankfully!3 -

Hi, I just found this topic. I'm new to cycling. Well, returned to riding a bike late last month after about 25 years. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the old adage about not forgetting is mostly true. I'm still a bit shaky and not very confident, and I only ride on the weekends. May I still join in on this? And do you keep track of riding/walking/running/everything? Or just the riding?

It's the best platform I have used. The feel is more realistic and you can ride your own routes. You can ride for free but I elected for the premium so I can ride my own routes at the time of my choosing. It's probably the best application out there for e-racing. I've been on Zwift all month so far due to the weather and my winter bike being in the shop awaiting a new brake caliper, but I got the bike back today and the weather for the weekend looks tolerable to go outside. Fingers crossed - I need a change of scenery!1

Outside! 3 hours today, planning 4 tomorrow when it will hopefully be less windy. Trying to decide whether it will be warm enough to switch to shorts and legwarmers or whether to stick to the tights.

Got my legs out today on a three-hour ride, also left my rain jacket behind and of course got rained on 20 miles from home! Oh well....
Loads of bikes out and every mode of cycling apparel seen from full summer kit to Scott of The Antarctic levels of over-dressing.

105km outside today, felt so nice with warmer temperatures and less wind than yesterday. Even warm enough for an outside coffee/cake stop. I opted for shorts and legwarmers - the legwarmers stayed on but it was still nice to more away from the thicker tights.2

What a difference a change in the weather makes!
Last week no riding possible at all, this week 5 rides and 138 miles and also plenty of smiles.

Lovely weather here this weekend. (Remember I said this now... come summer I will do nothing but complain about the heat, if I mention the weather at all). Nice as the weather is, my run yesterday basically sucked. The bike ride today was better, albeit slightly slower as I was riding with my sister who has COPD, so travels at a leisurely pace on her beach cruiser. I left her behind often, at her wish, but waited for her to catch up every 2 or 3 miles.

2/7/2021 = 20.00 mi riding (02:02:00)
2/11/2021 = about 3.5 mi riding (no clue)
2/15/2021 = 8.32 mi riding (00:49:00)

2/21/2021 = 20ish mi riding (02:28:02) - I'll learn to restart my app after rest breaks one of these days... or I'll just not pause it.

Warmed up this week, three rides for 40.5 miles total.1

157 miles for the week and 387 for the month. Also managed to tick off a gran fondo distance ride.
Despite missing a whole week due to ice it turned out to be overall a good cycling month and there were far more days being able to ride outside than expected for February.

Brilliant weekend of cycling. Hilly 3 hours yesterday including some of the world championships circuit from 2019. I bumped into my OH about an hour from home and rode back with him, a bit faster than I'd have ridden back alone.
Today was gorgeous blue skies and no wind so I headed up into the dales for a 4 hour ride. To my surprise very few people had driven out there for a walk (either that or the police were turning them round as strictly speaking people should be staying local) so the roads were almost deserted and it was amazing.
I definitely made the right choice going a bit further away from the cities - all the parks/country parks on the way back home were absolutely rammed and it's apparently taken people 3 hours to get out of the car park of my local park this afternoon2 -
I have done nothing in February with a dodgy knee. Time to get back into the groove!1
