Has anyone ever done one/any? Suggestions?

I'm mainly interested in straight liquors, not mixed drinks, and Flaviar looks pretty well suited to me. But $40 per box (quarterly) for three 1.5oz samples seems kinda steep.

That does seem steep, but is it just to try new-to-you varieties? Might be worth a try

I guess if Flaviar is sending you samples of stuff you can't get at your local Total Wine or whatever, then maybe it's worth it? I think for my money I'd rather just spend my $40 on a whole bottle, so I can take my time with it. If it's good, I already have more; if I don't like it, idk, maybe I can cook with it or figure out a cocktail that will make it palatable. Or hold onto it for the next time I have guests (whenever that's a thing again) who would like it.

I'd love to try an alcohol subscription box, but sadly I live in the ONE state in which it is illegal to ship alcohol unless you have a commercial license. Hoping someone has reviews.
