Hey All,
I want to lose fat in a short time, as I know cutting carbs is a very fast way to lose fat weight especially stubborn fat.
Any ideas of lifestyle, recipies, and food to avoid.

Cutting carbs is a very fast way to lose water weight, not fat.

losing weight fast does not mean it is REAL weight or that it will STAY off.
carbs are about half my macros.4 -
Make small changes, such as using lettuce instead of tortillas. I found that cutting out red meat helped me lose better than cutting carbs, so that may be something to also try.0

Do some research on Keto if you are interested in this for weight loss. Honestly, it's what works for you and makes the most sense to you. We're all different in that respect. For me, lowering carbs feels good for me. When I'm compliant along with intermittent fasting I feel less achy, better rested, and less bloated. Insulin is the thing that makes us gain weight and unfortunately every time we eat anything (except fat) it spikes our insulin. There's a guy I love on YouTube - Dr Berg. His videos are so educational and eye opening.0

"Dr" Berg (he isn't a medical doctor) is a disgraced chiropractor - avoid his advice as there are far better sources of evidence based science.11

And this.
But if you want to cut carbs, the best way is to look at your diary and see where your carbs are coming from and cut portion size or replace it with something low carb (you can see what's low carb in your diary).
One option, which will also reduce cals, is to cut starchy side portions and increase non starchy veg portions, if we are talking about meals. If you eat higher carb snacks (which often have lots of fat too), that's another place you can cut down.3 -

I wonder why so many "disagrees?" Is it talking about blood sugar spikes? I'm curious.0 -

I’m glad you find eating keto has helped you but that post of yours is full of errors. You are just repeating what the “experts” say is true but it is wrong.3 -

Several reasons - Dr. Berg was caught peddling miracle cures and lost his license to practice as a chiropractor and insulin DOES NOT make us gain weight - excess calories do. Those are the 2 main reasons that I disagreed.
BTW - insulin spikes after eating are a normal and natural thing - the cells in your body cannot function w/o insulin because insulin is the hormone that signals the cells to accept glucose (energy) from the blood stream.7 -

There is a basic mistake there. If you fill your body with fat, you have big chances that the fat end up in adipose cells (your belly, where the excess fat belongs) and in muscle cells (where it's supposed to be only in very small amounts). Once you fill your muscle cells, you become insulin resistant and every small amounts of carbs will spike bigger amounts of insulin.0 -

An excess of calories makes you gain weight, not insulin spikes...6 -
Thanks everyone! I get it now. I didn't realize that about Dr Berg. Every day I do learn something new! xxoo5

Keto is entirely optional, from any reasonable scientific standpoint, for weight loss. Some people find that eating low carb, or very low carb as in keto, helps them personally with appetite control, without crashing their energy level. (A very few people may need to follow a strict medical keto diet for a serious health condition. That is not most of us.) Other people find low carb eating subjectively miserable, or with bad consequences for their personal energy level. It's individual.
OP, start with the way you prefer to eat, and tweak it to hit reasonable calories, get good nutrition, keep you full and happy, and keep your cravings/energy level at a suitable level. It's fine to do that tweaking gradually.
There's no need to go to an extreme right out of the gate, even if some particular method is being overhyped as the universal perfect solution. *Something* is always being hyped: Keto, Paleo, plant-based, yada-yada-yada. Calorie level is important, nutrition is important, subjective factors (satiation, energy, tastiness, etc.) are important. Pretty much anything more complicated just helps "diet experts" make a living.5
