Can anyone recommend very low carb, very low sugar puddings

    Is there a reason you can’t just have pudding that fits into your daily goal?

    I just googled, I see there are lots recipes for low carb low sugar pudding.

    So, by "pudding" do you mean "dessert in general" (the UK usage) or specifically a custard-like dessert (the US usage)? Also, has a medical professional advised you specifically to reduce or avoid carbohydrates and sugar, or did you specify low carb/low sugar because you think you're supposed to avoid those things for weight loss? You don't have to, unless a medical professional has personally told you, specifically, otherwise.

    If you're looking for general dessert ideas, fresh fruit is going to be more nutritious than basically anything else you might want to end a meal with, carb and sugar content notwithstanding, while still scratching that "cold/sweet" itch (if "dessert" means "cold and sweet" for you, it usually does for me). Grapes take on the most fascinating texture when you freeze them, very refreshing to eat on a hot day. Watermelon is also extremely good and you can eat A LOT of it before you start getting to "unreasonable" in terms of calories.

    If you do have a reason to avoid carbs, treat yourself to some fancy cheese - cheese has no carbs OR sugar. Most cheeses clock in around 100-150cal per oz. If that's not an option, dark chocolate has less sugar in it than milk chocolate, try that.

    I like jello sugar free instant pudding mixed with equal parts Greek (or regular) yogurt and water. It gels quickly and has an airy, mousse like texture.

    Cheesecake flavor with blueberries or strawberries

    Vanilla -add a can of pumpkin purée and pie spice, too and tastes just like a pumpkin pie

    Chocolate or white chocolate with a squirt of lite canned whipped cream and three or four grams of chocolate sprinkles

    Lemon with whipped cream and lemon honey granules. I also add a squeeze of lemon juice. And if I’ve got extra calories it goes down well with some Trader Joe’s Meyer Lemon Crisps.

    Pistachio was not a big hit in our house.

    We’ve got some butterscotch but haven’t tried it yet.

    I'm pretty sure this is the Skinnytaste recipe for chocolate silk.pie made with tofu. I'd just make the filling and skip the crust if you just want pudding:

    Yes, OP if you mean US-style pudding, just go to the supermarket and look at the sugar-free puddings.

    I'm not recommending any myself, as I can't stand artificial sweeteners, but obviously many do as there is clearly a market for them.

    I've made silken tofu chocolate cheesecake ages ago, and IIRC, it was pretty good, but I'm not dairy free so just went back to cream cheese after the experiment. However, these days I am reducing saturated fat so might give it a whirl - I'm not low carb and it looks good to me.

    But the chocolate chips might have too much saturated fat :(

    Simply Delish on amazon is low carb I think the strawberry is funky, but the chocolate is pretty good

    Yeah, I have made that Skinnytaste pie I posted before, and honestly I didn't even really notice the tofu. I'm not dairy free either, but I was looking for something lower calorie that satisfied the chocolate craving. I can't really think of any alternatives off the top of head to maybe use less chocolate chips and somehow boost the cocoa flavor, short of maybe some espresso powder or something.

    ETA: just looked at the recipe again and had forgotten it had coffee liquor. Guess that throws the powder idea out the window!

    I love berry smoothies. I measure either a 1/2 cup or 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream, one cup frozen berries, and one cup almond milk and blend. It comes out to 265 calories plus you’re getting the benefit of the fruit.

    plenty are mass produced. plenty of recipes online as well.

    even normal jello pudding cups are only 100 calories if I remember right. unless you are diabetic, carbs and sugar aren't much of an issue, health wise. Weight loss all comes to calories.

    as an aside, weight watchers actually makes a fudge bar that's really quite tasty for under 100 calories. not sure of carb/sugar content.
