Sorting Recipes - help

I've got loads of recipes stored up on myfitnesspal now and I've found it a great way to work out calories. However, it's taking longer and longer to find things on my list as it's so long.

Is there a way to sort my list maybe into food groups or alphabetically?

Any ideas would be great.

no, you can not. on the phone app you can search your recipes though. Dont think you can do that on the PC platform.

Your best bet is the mobile app, since you can search through your recipes there, although it is much easier to input and edit recipes through the desktop site. This functionality is not available on the desktop site, for unknown reasons.

The best workaround I've found is to search the recipe on the mobile app, go to Edit it and make one change, save, and then it will be at the top of your list on the desktop site once your data syncs. It's clunky but it works.

edit to add: I was talking about the recipe builder, finding and editing recipes in there, but then realized you might have been talking about your diary. Within your diary, in the mobile app, you can also search for your recipes specifically; go to add a food and tap Recipes below the search bar to search only through your recipes. The desktop site does not have this functionality either, for unknown reasons.

Thanks for your replies and ideas. I suspected that there was no way to sort the recipes having had a poke around on the desktop app, which is where I mainly access myfinesspal. The phone app workaround sounds doable but we shouldn't have to do that! Soon my recipe list will be too long to be practical to sort through so I'll have to find another way, outside of the app to do what it does and then input the data.

truly, though a bit aggravating for sure, its not that bad. i cook a lot. and a huge variety of stuff, and have 10 years worth of recipes in the builder. But the ones I use most often, are pretty near the top. even if I just search a keyword, like chicken, it usually narrows it down enough to find quickly. i also re-enter recipes plenty, just because weights and measurements can vary
