Instagram exercises. Cardio or strength

Those HIIT exercises that you see on Instagram of home workouts. Do they fall under cardio training or strength training.
Ie. plank, squats, burpies, lunges etc

HIIT is cardio imo. If you want to log it for calories burned you'd have to do it under Cardio, but if you want to keep track of your bodyweight strength reps progress you can log them individually under Strength. Strength exercises don't get counted toward exercise calories.1

I tend to think of the Strength Exercise category as being heavy lifting with weights (just my opinion, not saying thaya correct.). HIIT would likely fall more under Cardio, especially since Cardio Exercises logged on MFP are the only ones that affect your calorie goal.1

Usually anything in intervals is more for cardio and muscular endurance training. Since recovery time is shorter between sets, strength isn't the main focus.
