Hey all, I’m kinda new to MFP. Was an original I guess u can say back oh idk 10 or so yrs ago... I’ve had surgeries, and I’m not supposed to gain weight however, I also have recently quit smoking cigarettes so instead of losing the 5-10 lbs that my surgeon told me that I had to lose permanently (and hopefully more) back at the end of December... As of two days ago, I weighed 20-25 lbs MORE than I did on surgery day! It was for an incisional hernia and it was large so mesh needed to be used... mesh can’t stretch... I feel it pulling. I need to do something. My body fluctuates so much with weight. Today I weigh 13 lbs less than 2days ago. My period ended last week, my water intake was increased and has maintained at about a gallon- gallon *40oz or so with no fluid retention noticed... I don’t know... oh also I have fibromyalgia, possibly lupus still trying to figure it out, I’ve had a hip replacement, osteoarthritis, possibly some rheumatoid arthritis with neuropathy in my hands, arms, legs and feet. I’m only 42, weigh 265 today, would LOVE to learn how to eat an anti inflammatory diet free from most sugar. I currently don’t eat beef or pork and don’t want to. I would LOVE to get rid of cheese, eggs and chicken someday but that’s after weight get down

Are you tracking your calories, using a food scale, weighing and logging everything you eat and drink and logging it religiously, no skipping, cheating or forgetting? If not, start there.
