A bad weekend and I'm not even sorry

Posting this more to keep myself accountable than anything.
I had a total cheats weekend. I always allow myself a bit more freedom at the weekend - I don't see it as cheating. But this weekend was Valentines, and I've not been to the cinema in nearly a year. So I brought the cinema home. I had butter popcorn, pick'n'mix sweets, takeaway both Saturday and Sunday. It was disgusting and beautiful and I don't regret any of it. It was entirely planned - after six weeks of being pretty good, I allowed myself a weekend of indulgence. I next plan on doing that at Easter.
But I'm posting this because normally, when I have a 'cheat' day or 'cheat weekend, it's a slippery slope. I tell myself I've ruined things so I may as well make every day a cheat day. This time round I'm doing things differently. I planned a bad weekend. I enjoyed it. No matter how bad it was - I tracked everything I ate (possibly a bit looser with measuring that normal). And because I planned it, But now I'm back on the wagon.
In terms of impact, I don't think the weekend should have caused any weight gain, as such - I 'saved up' some extra calories from the last week to allow it, so my overall calories for the last week are still on target and just below average of 1750 (which is my aim). Though on Friday I was coming in at 203.2 lbs, and this morning it's 205.2. Now, I know that I didn't eat 7000 calories above my TDEE over the weekend, so hoping that's mainly water weight from lots of sugar and salt being consumed.
Not really sure what the point of this post is - I think it just helps me draw a line under the weekend by checking in here and announcing that I'm back on track.

You've totally got this:
You tracked
You planned
You had excess calorie deficit
You're back on it today!
Amazing stuff.
(And yes, the weight gain is most likely water/bulk of food consumed. )
A lot of peeps suggest regular diet breaks (there's a sticky somewhere with this as the title - of refeeds and diet breaks or some such) which suggests you eat at maintenance every few months - for a significant number of days - just to get you/us used to maintaining weight and to encourage the body to adapt. So if anything, you're ahead of the curve!3 -
That's the way to do it!0

Touche! Life is TOO SHORT to not enjoy life. One day isn't going to totally disrupt your whole month if you're consistent the rest of the time.
