Obese -> Normal weight -> Obese again, new to MFP

I'm new to MFP and a male, just bought a one year subscription. I have used the myfitnesspal tracker with GPS when I used to run and walk a few years ago. Back in 2018 I was diagnosed renal artery stenosis at 27 and it took the doctors a good six months to figure out what actually was raising my blood pressure to 220/120, so between that six months I ate minimum 1300 calories a day and 300-500mg sodium max. I jogged 30 minutes every single day and went from 250lbs -> 200lbs @ 5'9" in 3 months and maintained that weight until my official diagnosis, had renal angioplasty, which was a success. Fast forward a year from procedure and I put on maybe 10ish pounds to around 212lbs. Maintained roughly 210ish until Summer of 2019 when I was back at 220lbs and am now right back where I started at 255lbs. I have been procrastinating to get back on the diet and exercise because I know I have done it successfully before, but it's been hard, I'll stick to a strict diet with 5 days exercise for 8-10 days and fall right back off again. My goal here is to get to 200lb by summer and figured I'd subscribe to MFP as I'm taking a business degree online and I'm on the computer all day, so I figured lurking the forums on here would provide me with some motivation to stick to goals.
I have a few questions:
1. How should I fully utilize MFP to reap full benefits?
2. Is there a way to add current weight and goal weight, and have a daily calorie calculator?
3. Is there meal plans available? *I currently live in the HIGH, HIGH Arctic, so vegetables are expensive, a 3 pack of
romaine lettuce is $15 CAD, but money isn't an issue, just inventory is hit and miss*
Thanks, and any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

1. Use the guided setup and stick to your calorie budget.
2. That is literally what MFP is.
3. MFP doesn't sell you food. Meal plan services are expensive even for people who don't live in BFE, so in your case I would make do with what is available to you; any meal kit delivery service is going to run into the same supply-chain issues that limit your local grocery's inventory and result in you paying out the nose for crunchy water.3 -

Thank you1 -
You don’t need to eat romaine, eat what is available to you. Why do you think it is hard to lose weight this time around? I will tell you what I think. The last time you were eating 1200 calories a day and that is really hard to do. I’m 60 and my intake was much higher and I still lost weight. Take the path with the least resistance.2

Put your stats into the mfp set up. If you are hoping to lose 50 lbs. then use 1 to 1.5 lbs. a week as your goal. It will tell you how many calories you should aim for. For a male, your minimum calories are usually 1500, unless under medical supervision. If you eat less, you risk nutritional imbalances with health consequences, plus it is a lot harder to stick with it, so you can easily get into binge cycles. If fresh fruit and vegetables aren't available, then canned or frozen are fine. You don't need to follow a specific diet, just eat what you enjoy in amounts that fit your calorie goals.0
