Beginning a Better & New Me

Where do I begin? Let’s first start off by saying that this panademic has not made it easy. Every since this whole thing started, I have been more stressed and have neglected myself. I am a teacher and I love what I do. However, teaching now is much more demanding and in these times stressful. On top of that, I have stress in my personal life. Through all of this chaos and stress, I have neglected myself and I’m tired of leaving myself behind! My motto is Kindness and if anyone knows me I always help others, am there for others, and want to help others as much as I can. But at the same time, I have stopped taking care of me. Isn’t it time I show myself kindness? Isn’t it time to nourish my body, mind, and soul? If we don’t take care of ourselves, then we are no good for others! With this being said, tomorrow morning is the start of a new life! It is a start of being kind to myself, nourishing my mind, body, and soul, and in the end strengthening myself into a stronger and happier person! I welcome anyone to come take the journey with me! For a new day is dawning, a day to take time to nourish ourselves so we can continue to nourish others with kindness and love!

    Welcome!

The only problem with stating tomorrow morning is that you could start right NOW.

It's so important to be kind to yourself. I hope you find a way to do that while nourishing your body and taking care of yourself. There's some great tools here; use them!

Do you have any short or long term goals? How are you planning to succeed with them?

I want to lose some weight and tone my body. I have five months before a family wedding. Going to avoid stress and measure out my portions of food. I will be looking to eat healthier foods as well. I think the key is not to discourage myself .

It sounds like you don’t have a whole lot to lose. The closer you are to goal, the more patience is required.

It sounds like you are already planning to be cautious about trying to lose it all at once. That’s very wise.

You have a very “yogic” attitude. Have you tried yoga? Some local studios have reopened. I haven’t tried any of the online classes, so can’t speak to those, but I’ve been to many local studios over the years and they tend to have a heavy emphasis on mind/body connection. That might be helpful to you right now.

Much success to you and thank you for being a teacher!
