low testosterone

I feel like I've been treading water just keeping my weight the same and I was just tested and found to have low testosterone. I will be getting replacement therapy soon. My question is has anyone else dealt with this and does it help at all with weight loss?

Hey buddy,
You might get a better response over at one of the steroid forums - a lot of men over the age of 30 have had great results from therapeutic doses of testosterone, coupled with a good diet plan. I'd recommend heading over eoids.com, their community is very large, knowledgeable and varied.
Good luck,

TRT will definitely help with weight loss. Your body will have been producing visceral fat due to low T/ higher estrogen which settles around the midrift and waist. Your muscles will have been wasting also, so you will regain the muscle building capacity on therapeutic doses

For many people who are truly deficient it is a huge help. However, there are a lot of testosterone centers out there without good practices or proper oversight. Best of luck.0

I'm on testosterone now.... I had a total thyroidectomy a few years ago and my body just kind of fell apart after. Lost a ton of muscle mass and my sex drive was non existent. I finally made my doc test for low T and on a scale of 8-24 being normal I was 0.4!
Word of advice.... Don't let them give you that awful testosterone gel (androgel) it's not very effective and it's super expensive and if you have women in your life they risk getting exposed to the testosterone if they touch you where it was applied.
I'm on deletesterol injections in my thigh once every 2 weeks. It's taken a while but my muscles are slowly rebuilding and with my weight loss I'm starting to feel better.
Oh and sex drive is through the roof so that might make your partner happy (or sad lol)

It certainly helped my husband for sure.
They started him with the androgel and that didn't work at all. He felt no change after a year. So they changed him to the injectable form and it made all the difference! It takes time to get the meds right sometimes but it is worth the wait. Best of luck to you !0
