Losing hope

Over the past couple of years I have been able to lose over 100lbs (85 on mfp) which is amazing and I’m so very proud of that. The problem is now I seem to be completely stuck where I am which is still about 20lbs or so from my ultimate goal. I’ve tried anything and everything it seems like and I just can’t seem to lose anymore. I’m used to plateaus and all, but this has been basically since October! It’s tough for me to find the motivation anymore. Maybe this is the weight I’m meant to be?

Wow! You have done great! I don’t know. I’ve always heard the last 20 are the hardest, but I haven’t had that experience. Wish I could help.

Congratulations. I was stuck a long time without having done nearly as well as you. You don’t say what your overall program is but given what you’ve been able to do, maybe look at the big picture.

Do you have fitness goals. Just an observation having been at this quite awhile, if you’re looking for a high level of fitness together with weight loss, you have to work in a tight range. It’s hard to find that spot where we eat enough to support training but little enough to be in a deficit. Just how it is.

    Keep trying.

Have you adjusted your calories to account for that loss?

How are you measuring your food?

Are you measuring EVERYTHING? ON A FOOD SCALE?
