The Diet Gods are Watching.....

Ok so I've been really watching what I have been eating lately, healthy, trying to limit my sugar intake, etc. So, I decide tonight, when I have some leftover calories that I will actually measure out 1/2 cup of ice cream. Now, as we know, this is not a large amount of ice cream, so I pull out a demitasse spoon to eat it with. Small ice cream, small spoon. The ice cream was delicious and worth every calorie. So, the dish and spoon get rinsed and put in the sink. The spoon winds up going down the disposal side of the drain without our knowledge. Disposal gets turned on, spoon gets mangled and stuck. Breaks the disposal.

I won't be eating anymore ice cream here soon I suppose... Guess that's one way to be accountable!! :)

You could buy a new spoon.

You could buy a new spoon.

Or eat it with a grown-up spoon.

Many options available for this "problem"...

Maybe you were being punished for eating only 1/2 cup. Did you have calories left over, hmmm?

    Just kidding

I drop things into my disposal all the time. How the heck did you manage to keep it on long enough to break something? You know something is wrong immediately because it sounds wrong.

I use my food disposer as a paper shredder, too.

And as a result, you know longer use paper, right?

You can buy demitasse spoons at Ikea for 12 for $4. That way, when you shred the next one, it won't make you have a sad.

Or, switch to ice cream sammiches. I hear Aphrodite loves those.

It was actually my son that was doing the dishes. He turned it off pretty quick. And yes, I have learned how to use a grown up spoon but would like that tiny portion of ice cream to last as long as possible!! Paper shredder huh?.... interesting.

I often eat my small portions of frozen yogurt or ice cream with my kids' toddler spoons, so I totally get what you were doing.

Maybe I need to switch to plastic! At least it would break up quicker :) I'm not really worried about the spoon, though it was a nice one, it's the disposal that's the real problem..

Ice cream sammies seems the safe route at the moment, great suggestion! I get cookies that way too :)

I have no garbage disposal on my sink - does this mean the diet gods are not present in my house!

I shall never add one... never....

I say get more spoons. If you fit in the ice cream - the diet gods are just having a bad day.

They may be in your dishwasher! They could melt the tupperware that you keep your brownie bites in during the drying cycle
