Favorite yoga apps for weight loss?

I have grown to love doing yoga. And I have lost 30lbs since starting.

Was following DDP YOGA for last 10 weeks but it's just way too repetitive and so much talking and story telling while your trying to just workout. You end up holing a 20 second pose for 60 seconds because they are telling jokes or talking about their cool water bottle.

- I am looking for an free or affordable yoga app or program.
- Good for beginners
- Low impact/gentle for big people
- Prefer guided programs, video sessions - rather than little fake digital characters doing moves.

Yoga with Adrienne is a great program. Please make a patreon donation if you love her.

The weight loss comes in the kitchen, the yoga is for overall health, including strength and flexibility!

I like the DownDog app. It has a lot of options and is different every time you use it (even using the same settings). I'm pretty sure they offer a trial period to test it out. They also have sales occasionally and, oddly, will renew you at the sale price each year.

I love Yoga with Adriene (on YouTube) but others say she's too chatty so she might not be up your alley. I like that she's down to earth and doesn't take everything too seriously.

Try searching on YouTube and seeing what pops up - I often find new content that way!

Rodney Yee is my favorite for DVDs, which I stopped doing before apps were a thing, having developed my own flow and gone through yoga teacher training.

He often gives an intro before the class, and is NOT chatty DURING the class.

My library system has 21 of his DVDs, plus downloadable "Gaiam: Rodney Yee Daily Yoga - Season 1." I'm sure that has a logical progression. If that's not available, you could figure out a progression from DVDs available at your library by the descriptions.
