Choosing "Activity Level" in goals when tracking exercise with apple watch

I track all my exercises and daily activity with an apple watch and I have it automatically log all of it in the app. I also have negative calorie adjusts enabled. If I track all my activity with my watch should I set my "Activity Level" to "Not Very Active" instead of "Lightly Active" or "Active" since these two settings might assume you do some kind of exercise outside of what I'm tracking? I feel like anything setting higher than "Not Very Active" would cause me to be kind of double-dipping on the calories I burn from exercise. Appreciate any thoughts anyone has on this thanks in advance.

Assuming your sync works correctly, your adjustments will only begin when you've moved MORE than your activity level would have indicated so you don't have to worry about double-dipping.

This is how Fitbit works. I have anecdotally seen some people reporting that Apple Watch syncing doesn't work accurately for them, so I'm hoping someone will give you specific guidance there. But MFP's design is for activity adjustments to take your initial activity level into account when calculating when to begin adjustments.

If synchronizing directly with Apple still doesn't seem to work correctly, a work around would be to synchronize through a third app that uses similar assumptions for BMR and activity to the ones used by mfp. Anecdotally the Pacer app has been known to work for that purpose
