Hello everyone I was wondering if you could offer any advice of hitting my daily calorie goal of 1580?? Each time I log in by the end of the day I am under my goal.

Add some calorie dense foods, like nuts, peanut butter, extra fat/oil in cooking or on cooked veggies, dressing on salads, avocados (if you like them), starchy or sweet vegetables (corn, sweet potatoes) rather than less calorie-dense ones, higher-calorie fruits (like bananas), full-fat versions of products where you're eating reduced fat (sauces, yogurt, etc.).

If your nutrition looks pretty good already, it's also fine to add some treat foods that are higher in calories but maybe not as nutritionally valuable, in order to get enough calories.

Consistently undereating by a lot is not a great plan, usually backfires in the long run.

Yep, I agree with Ann. Calorie dense foods make it much easier to hit calorie goals especially if you're not a big eater and fillup easy or are good at fasting.

I'm usually under the 1720 goal for me at the end of the day. So, I have desert when I am more than 300 calories low. Ice cream bar, Chocolate. That sort of thing. Usually about 200 calories. But, I don't try to supplement my diet for the day with things I might have included in my meals. I add to dinner if I notice a deficit going in.

how accurate is your logging? Are you using a food scale for all solids and measuring cups for all liquids?

how long have you been in a deficit and how much weight are you losing on average a week? what is your weekly weight loss goal set at?

assuming you are trying to lose weight, you did not gain by eating too little.

it is very easy to add calories if you are indeed under, but the majority of the time when people say they are not able to meet their calorie goal (when losing weight) it's not really true. Its a logging error.

I really try to log and weight my food with my scale but I haven't lost any weight.
