Hi, going to try the mfp community, hoping it will help keep me motivated & accountable to make sure I stay in a calorie deficit. I always start the day well but have a really hard time at night😬 Just wanted to say hello & sending everyone 🍀 this st. Paddys day😊

Hi, and welcome to the community!

It's not super unusual to have more difficulty in the evening. One common thing is to be increasingly a tiny bit more fatigued as the day goes on, so our body may turn up the cravings in its search for more energy. Also, lots of us have that snacking habit in the evening, and need to either save up some calories to make that habit work out (maybe changing the specific snacks, too), or need to find a different habit to replace the snacking habit (usually it's easier to replace an old habit with a new one, vs. white-knuckle through stopping, on willpower).

Sometimes it helps me to think of the challenge of weight loss as a sort of science fair project, with problems to be solved along the way to reach a solution . . . kind of like a game where losing is winning 😉.

    Wishing you success!

Thanks for the advise! I was thinking if I saved some of my breakfast calories that I could do without and save them for night🤷🏼‍♀️

Sounds like a good plan! (I can't even begin to tell you how many little experiments I ran while losing weight and even when starting to maintain, to try to stay full and well-nourished on reasonable calories, while eating foods I enjoy . . . some successes, some failures. 😉 So worth figuring out, though!)
