show calcium in mg needs to be an option

given that our goal is in "mg" = mine in 1200 for calcium - why aren't we given the option of show calcium mg in the food diary?
So i understand i use 120% but why do I then have to translate from percentages to mg all the time?
myfitnesspal is computerized - it'd be nothing for them to do it versus relying on human who is error prone,
plus the law is changing and will require mg on labels.

Even if it were an option, many many entries in the database would still incorrectly show zero because the database is mostly user-submitted and people only enter info that is available to them. Some people only enter what they consider to be key info for them.
I have no idea where you are but certainly in the UK (and also across Europe, as our labelling is based on an EU directive) there are no laws that require calcium to be displayed on labels and I'm not aware that that's changing.
However, with regards to your specific point, that is presumably aimed at MFP's developers and not those of us just using the app, you'd need to actually send a message to MFP as no-one will, ordinarily, read the forum posts.0 -

The new US labels added mg to the calcium amounts (they still have a percentage and that's what they had before).
In that there are a huge number of entries with the percentage only and the percentage still exists, I don't see it changing.0 -
Thanks for suggestion to contact MFP developers
