Hi There

My name is Maree, I am 39yrs old and live in Melbourne Victoria.

I'm a finance manager so spend alot of time at a desk but love being active. In October 2019 I joined Weight Watchers and had great success and lost just over 40kg in a year... then the wheels fell off and I have gained 13kg back. I no longer find WW motivating due to the way they have dealt with changes after covid.

I don't want to keep gaining and lose all I have achieved so have decided to give My Fitness Pal a go and try and find my mojo again. To complicate matters I am getting a hysterectomy on Monday so being on top of my food whilst I recover is more important than ever.

Here's to feeling healthy and strong again.

Cheers
Ree

Hello Maree and welcome! I, too, lost a lot of weight only to see it creep back on (stress eating is such a wonderful thing). But I'm back and determined to lose it again.

    Hey Malevolentmuse,

I had my surgery on Monday and I am recovering well. My head is in a good place, so planning to use this recovery time to set myself up to succeed. Work out my goals and plan my meals etc. Working out the app and finding motivation and support in the forums. I know I can do this as I have already done it. I am down 1kg since surgery, so hoping to keep that downward trend throughout recovery.

Thanks Kristy. You added me already. Will take all the support and motivation on offer.

Starting to lower the pain meds now so hoping I can keep moving and doing well without them. I am down 4.6kg since surgery now. Hoping to build on this and get back to where I was last year.
