her smile and attitude. if she is in a good mood then the service is usually better, so my experience there is better, and her tip is better. i have gone back to "sub par" restaurants simply for the quality of service.0

To be helpful without being pushy. I want to feel she is available to me / us (for ordering), without feeling she is non-stop near (I need intimaticy while I eat... at least a little :laugh: ). I don't understand why waiters/waitresses should smile and be joyfull. A normal attitude, polite, well-mannered is more than enough. I espect them to serve well, not entertain me. If they keep a normal, professional attitude I an the kind of person than gives large tips.
I don't like when waiters/waitresses start discussion or get flirty.
I expect them to be clean. I appreciate groomed hands and nails (I know they don't cook, but chipped nail enamel for example is a waitress turn off).
I like when waiters/waitresses know the local menu very well, are aware of food allergens and don't go to the kitchen to ask the chef.0
