Hello ![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
This is probably a really weird question, but every so often a take a picture of my face to see the difference as I lose weight and I have taken one tonight but my face looks a lot bigger/puffier then the one I'd taken at the beginning of this month, even though I weigh less now than I did then. I do realise that I do sound completely paranoid btw

Did you take it at the same time of day, same lighting, same clothing/coloring as in the other picture? Are you well rested? I feel like all those things could make a huge difference.3

Around the same time of day, same clothing but the light does look different (it's a bit darker in the one I took tonight but not a lot) at first I thought maybe it is because I've had a migraine today but as far as I know, facial swelling isn't a side effect of a migraine.0

It would be easy for the photos to look different. Relax and don't pick yourself apart. Use reason; there is no way your face got fatter after losing weight.5

Our minds are funny things, and photos can distort reality besides, not to mention that a month is *short*.
There's a before & after thread here on MFP for face photos. Right after weight loss (when I'd lost almost a third of my body weight), I posted on that thread. I said I couldn't really see a significant difference between the photos (that was true, then).
Others said there was a big difference. I thought that was really nice of them to say.
Now, when I go back and look at those very same photos . . . there was a big difference, very noticeable. *I* just couldn't see it then. Now, 5 years on? I can see it, big time.
Self-image is weird, brains are weird generally. Trust your results, trust the process. Don't worry about two photos a mere month apart.8 -
I also find that if I am a bit dehydrated, my face looks much thinner than other times. If I've eaten more salt, it looks rounder.5

Thankyou for the replies, I am being completely paranoid, I thought I was just thought I'd better check2
