Join me in a 30 day April effort

Hi everyone - I first joined MFP in 2011. In those 10 years my weight has gone down and up and down and up - yes the typical yo-yo dieter. My weight has ranged from 234 lbs up to my heaviest at 315lbs. On 1 Jan this year with my weight at 291 lbs I vowed to make 2021 count. I set myself the ambitious target of getting to 210 lbs before Dec 31 - I am always optimistic!

Today 1 April 2021 I am at 294lbs. So a net gain of 3lbs this year so far - not what I want!

So today I am starting a 30 day focus on getting my eating right and shifting at least 14 lbs before the end of the month. Hopefully this will kick start me back into a steady weight loss for the rest of the year.
I am aiming to limit my kcals to below 2000 per day and limit my intake of carbs. I need to avoid wine and cheese and crisps - these things are my downfall! I will exercise every day by walking, cycling and doing stretches.

My April targets:
  • 14 lb loss in April
  • Cycle 500 miles with 15000 ft elevation gain
  • Walk 100 miles
  • Become a "teeny" (ie<20st) again!

It would be great if some of you can join me so that we can support and encourage each other. Feel free to add me as a friend and lets see if we can do this together.

I have also been on MFP for years. I gained 20 pounds since June 2019 when my daughter got married. But, I have 50 pounds to lose. I started fresh on Monday. I don’t mind joining you in your journey to encourage you, but I have upped my calorie intake because I think that’s where I get discouraged. I’m going to lower my calorie intake a little bit at a time. Good luck to you.
