I started using RTS training log and their TRAC uses an orthostatic test as part of its parameter set.
I dug into the orthostatic test a bit and found HRV (heart rate variability) and the hrv4training app. Seems like an interesting tool for tracking stress and recovery.
Anybody using HRV over short/long term as a tool for managing training?

I'm not (yet) using it as a tool. Recently discovered you can track it on an Apple Watch (have not bothered with any sort of app (yet) so for the moment I am just tracking to see what it's like.1

I'm tracking mine on Fitbit, I can't use it for training, as it only providing data for during sleep. Definitely interested in the topic though.0

Thanks. That was really interesting. And induced me to shell out for the HRV4 app, which seems really good. I'm looking forward to seeing what information it provides. Takes a few days of readings before it can tell you anything.1 -
Yeah I just hit day four so now I get the daily recommendation. Depending on how things shake out over the next few months I might splurge on the pro for the extra graphs.1
