    How long in maintenance: Since April 2016 - but gained 10 kg March-May 2020 after massive trauma combined with COVID-19.
    Maintenance weight range: 65-75 kg (not sure what’s the right answer - been up and down in there numerous times in my life, apart from going way over 2010-2015).
    I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

    I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

    @GregInORL - I'm so impressed! I can't imagine packing that much running in one week's time. I'm happy when I get 20 miles in.

    Weight lost: 86kg to 80 kg (January-August 2012); 85 kg to 69 kg (October 2014 - March 2016); 88kg to present weight (May 2020 - now)
    maintained (i.e. was below 77.5 kg, and mostly below 75 kg) from February 2015-July 2017; was then put on a medication and gained 2 kg in a month; went on sabbatical (away from scales; lots of conference meals); hit (peri-)menopause and lost track of things except to note that I was steadily gaining and back to 85/86 kg.
    Lost to 81 kg at Easter 2020 (top of normal bmi for me), but then gained back to 88 kg in April/May (Easter egg binge; lock down closed the pool...).

    Successes:
    I am taking the next step to make maintenance easier.
    I did NOT over-react when scale went up a bit.
    I am giving myself the time to figure this out.

    Struggles: ya know - all the stuff we are all going through
    + an ocular migraine & fatigue: better now!

    I re-learned that when I am in pain or sick, I EAT. That mostly accounts for the uptick this week.
    Theories I have: uncomfortable so I eat, think I need food to be more energetic, mis-directed self-care. Luckily I’m rarely in pain or sick, but I have added this as an area to problem-solve down the road. Ticking them off, one by one, never giving up.

    First vaccine in the books. Felt really tired for a day. Finished my 100 mile week in 7 days really strong! Although you see a big dip on my weigh in today, can see I did it while maintaining weight on the whole which was good. I was trying to eat enough good food to keep up.

    Success: Weight staying within goal range even with some extra calories. I have been working in the yard some which helps. It is sort of like the time change. I gain in the fall and lose in the spring. Little swings but noticeable.

    Successes: rolling and monthly averages under 75kg - yay! The rolling average is up a bit but that reflects the faact that I had three days over the weekend when I didnt exercise. I weighed in at 75.5 kg yesterday, so I was expecting that today's to be higher than it was.

    Struggles: Easter eggs... Wine... Finding the right balance, especially with (milk) chocolate goodies, so that I enjoy but don't over-indulge. I don't know why I find milk chocolate so much harder to regulate than dark chocolate, but I do.

    Reflection: I really needed those three rest days, but it was good to get moving again this morning.

    Successes/struggles of the week: I'm trying to find unique ways to motivate myself to go for at least one long walk every week. Today, I'm walking to and from one of my favorite bakeries, which is a good 6.6 mile roundtrip walk - with the delicious reward of lots of baked goods at the end of it! Of course, I way over-ordered when I pre-ordered from them, but I'll be able to spread most of the items out over a couple of days and freeze some of the rest of them. Then, in a few days, I'm meeting a couple of friends for an outdoor happy hour at a restaurant that's about a 30 min walk in each direction from me.

    Success: Although not reflected in the average weight, I finally began to drop water weight toward the end of the week. Body composition scale shows fat loss even if the total number does not.
    Struggles: Had some trouble staying away from sugar this week. That certainly leads to water retention.

    Maintenance range: 75kg (+/- 2.5 kg) - but we'll see, maybe a bit lower. (I'm currently wondering about 73kg +/- 1 kg.)

    Weight lost: 86kg to 80 kg (January-August 2012); 85 kg to 69 kg (October 2014 - March 2016); 88kg to present weight (May 2020 - now)
    maintained (i.e. was below 77.5 kg, and mostly below 75 kg) from February 2015-July 2017; was then put on a medication and gained 2 kg in a month; went on sabbatical (away from scales; lots of conference meals); hit (peri-)menopause and lost track of things except to note that I was steadily gaining and back to 85/86 kg.
    Lost to 81 kg at Easter 2020 (top of normal bmi for me), but then gained back to 88 kg in April/May (Easter egg binge; lock down closed the pool...).
    Average weight October 2014 - September 2015: 75.72 kg

    Successes: My monthly average is still under 75kg, which is where I want it.

    Struggles: I weighed in today 1 kg up from yesterday but apart from yesterday, my weigh ins this week have been between 75.0 and 75.7. That's still within my maintanance but up form last week. It raises the concern in my mind that my weight might be driffting back upwards. It's back to the question of how to integrate wine and chocolate at a level that is not over-indulging.
