What’s up everybody.

My name is Cisco, I’m from Tucson, AZ. I currently have 140 pounds to lose, I am starting back up on my Health & Wellness journey. My unhealthy lifestyle started to caught up with me all the soda, fry foods, fast foods and just high processed food in general. It started to give me high blood pressure, and finally I started to get chest pains and hot and cold sweats, shortness of breath in and out of the ER a few times that was my rock bottom or wake up call for me to take ownership of my health and to do something about it. I am about 1.5 months into this, I invested in myself and got myself an iWatch, it is to me my digital personal trainer. I set up reminders every hour to drink water, I dropped the sodas, I am starting out with minimum 30 min movement exercises everyday. I log everything I eat and drink. I am keeping it simple for me two shakes and one meal a day. ( the shakes are meal replacement )
I love going outside more now for walks and light jogs. I lost 10 pounds so far and I am noticing the difference in how I feel, my blood pressure have dropped a good portion, my last Dr. appt the Doc said if I keep this up she won’t put me on blood pressure medication that was another big motivator for me to keep going and pushing myself! I am ready to get rid of this low confidence, poor self-esteem and poor self image for good!

I am looking to plug into the MyFitnessPal Community and meet some other great people that are at what ever level of your journey you are at, I hope to learn from others, gain motivation and inspiration from others.
Please feel free to add me as a friend let’s grow together fam!!!
I pray everyone have much success in your journey!!! Much love everyone! 🙏💪🏼

    Good job!

I’m going to urge you at some point to replace at least one of the meal replacement shakes with solid food. This has to be maintainable in the future. Can you see yourself drinking MR shakes forever and ever, amen? You don’t want to shed the weight and fall back into bad habits.

Solid foods are more filling and satiating, and there is (to me) joy in chewing.

There’s a lot of meals you can eat that are about the same number of calories as a shake.

Not criticizing you. You’ve done absolutely wonderful. Your results speak for themselves. I did my first year or so with a particular smoothie every single morning, but as I learnt more, I was able to transition to something “heartier” for actually less calories, which allowed me to throw more towards snacks. But that smoothie sure served its purpose!

Awesome job and I sincerely hope to see you around on the boards!

ETA: I’m so pleased for you that you’re learning to ride that learning curve!!!!
