I decided to change my lifestyle on November 14, 2012 and as of today have lost 126 pounds! At my heaviest I weighed 388.8 pounds with my goal being to lose 60 pounds. I passed that goal and just kept going with a goal set of 150 pounds in one year and complete a 5K. Now just 2.5 months from my one year goal I can see the finish line and the accomplishment I spent my lifetime hopeing to achieve.
'Myfitnesspal' has been with me every step of the way providing me calorie counting and success stories from each of you that has at time helped motivate me to my goal. I have dropped 10 waist sizes, spent a fortune on clothes, and feel the best I have my entire life.
I began wieght training at 100 pounds and now stand 1 1/2 months from my first 5K. Does anyone have any recomendations or helpful hints as I prepare for this? I never ran more than a 1/2 mile and as of this morning am completing 2.3 miles in under 20 mintues.

I really like the Couch to 5k (C25K) app. It is a 8 week program that is gradual. It's great!
