Sorry if this has been asked before but why isn't my actual workout showing on my diary? I did a workout today, set my fitbit but its not showing on MFP! Its only showing my step count approx 8k steps and a calorie burn from steps at 431..I'm confused!

The Fitbit sync will never include specific workouts -- you'll only see an overall calorie adjustment.

FitBit doesn't synch the actual workout or the calories directly attributable to that workout. Your device simply gives you additional calories to reconcile your actual activity level per your device with the activity level you selected on MFP. This helps avoid double dipping as your activity level selected on MFP, even if sedentary, is going to include a certain amount of activity.

To a degree it doesn't matter what activity setting you pick as your Fitbit will adjust to the same final daily number.

But if your activity setting is a long way from reality (which sedentary and 8,000 steps would be) then you will get bigger adjustments from your Fitbit as you are doing a lot more than you told MyFitnessPal to expect.
Some people like it that way, some prefer to pick an activity level closer to reality to get smaller adjustments.
