Hi I'm Charlotte I need to lose 7 stone, any encouragement / tips/ others who are doing the same would be very helpful

My tip would be to think in terms of finding a sustainable set of habits that will lead to sustainably gradual weight loss, trying to make it easy rather than trying to make it a fast project with an end date, after which things "go back to normal". Personalization to one's own strengths, preferences and limitations is key, IMO.
These days, I'm hanging around here just to be maintaining a healthy weight, after losing 50+ pounds back in 2015. So, we're kind of at different spots in the process, but I just wanted to say "hi" and wish you much success with MFP!0
