Injury & setting ?

Hi all! I’m nursing a knee injury (torn meniscus & baker cyst) so I’m wondering if I should change my activity settings to “Sedentary” for now? I’m still working to lose weight through lower caloric intake. Any advice? Thanks!

If you're sedentary, then choose that...

    Yes.

Your activity setting should be whatever your activity level is.

Makes sense but personally I wouldn't want a big deficit while I was healing from injury.
I'd adjust both the activity setting for the reduced activity and also think about the rate of weight loss selected.

Great advice IMHO, but I would like to add..... Unless there is an immediate need for weight loss d/t a health condition, maybe maintain for a while, until you heal?

Yes, eating at maintenance while you heal might be wise.

Also, you might temporarily retain some water due to your injury so don't be surprised if there is a bump on the scale from that.

Thanks everyone! I was wondering if I should just maintain for a bit, so that’s sounding like the best plan. I appreciate all the helpful comments!
