After my free trial i was automatically subscribed for a year and unable to cancel. It is not worth the money and not all of the features actually work. Save your money

Have you contacted Customer Service about your specific issues? That might be more useful in resolving your situation.1

It may take some work but you can definitely cancel. If you run into resistance you can threaten to do a charge back with your credit card company, report them to the BBB, or your state's attorney general.* If you don't resolve this with the first person, ask for a supervisor. And you can actually do a charge back with your CC company.
* My suggestions are due to my professional experience with a different industry that used the "automatic enrollment after a free trial" model and are not specific to MFP.
If you happen to be a senior, call attention to that. My 83 year old mother recently received a 6 month refund for a monthly subscription for which she did not realized she had subscribed.6 -
Under subscription settings - one have to pay attention to ensure that "Auto-Renewal is set to OFF"
Failure to do so means that you will be billed2
